ON A NITE OF THE FULL MOON - Audre Lorde

out of my flesh tht hungers/
& my mouth tht knws/
comes the shape i am seekin/
for reason./
The curve of yr waitin body/
fits my waitin hand/
yr breasts warm as sunlite/
yr lips quick as young birds/

btwn yr thighs the sweet/
sharp taste of limes./

Thus I hold u/
frank in my heart's eye/
in my skin's knwng/
as my fingers conceive yr flesh/
I feel yr stomach/
movin against me.

Before the moon wanes again/
v shall come 2gtr.

& i wd b the moon/

spoken ovr yr beckonin flesh/
breakin against reservations/
beachin thot/
my hands at yr high tide/
ovr & under inside u/
& the passin of hungers/
attended, forgotten.

Darkly risen/
the moon speaks/
my eyes/
judgin yr roundness/
delightful.
